The CARMEX 16IR8NPTP25C is a solid carbide laydown threading insert engineered for internal NPT thread cutting at 8 threads per inch. Manufactured from uncoated solid carbide in grade P25C (material grade C5), this insert delivers consistent thread geometry in a wide range of workpiece materials. The 30-degree included angle and 3/8-inch inscribed circle (0.375 inches) conform to standard laydown insert seating. At 0.146 inches thick, the insert fits standard 16 IR toolholders. It is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running NPT threading operations on CNC lathes and manual threading equipment.
