The CARMEX 16IR32UNBMA is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for internal UN thread forms at 32 threads per inch. The insert is manufactured from submicron solid carbide and finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for extended wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. At 0.375 inches inscribed circle and 0.146 inches thick, the 16IR-style geometry seats in compatible right-hand internal threading toolholders. This insert is installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals performing precision internal threading operations on lathes and turning centers.
