The CARMEX 16IR12UNBMA is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for internal UN thread cutting at 12 threads per inch. The insert carries a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, providing thermal resistance and wear protection during threading operations. With a 3/8 inch (0.375 inch) inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.146 inches, this insert fits standard laydown-style toolholders used on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. The 60-degree included angle conforms to the unified national thread form. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments install this insert for right-hand internal thread profiles.

This insert is suited for threading internal UN profiles in a broad range of workpiece materials.
