The CARMEX 16ERB16UNBMA is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external UN thread cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It operates at 16 threads per inch (TPI) with a 60-degree included angle, making it suited for standard Unified National thread profiles. The insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process and carries the BMA manufacturer grade with a submicron carbide substrate. The 3/8-inch inscribed circle and 0.146-inch thickness conform to the 16ER insert style standard. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in production or job-shop turning operations install this insert into compatible 16ER-style toolholders.

This insert is intended for right-hand external threading across a broad range of workpiece materials.
