The CARMEX 16ER2.0ISOBXC is a laydown threading insert designed for external ISO thread-turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Made from solid carbide with a TiN-based coating applied via PVD process, it produces a 60-degree included angle thread profile at a 2.0 mm pitch. The 3/8-inch inscribed circle and 0.146-inch thickness conform to the 16 ER insert standard, ensuring direct seating in compatible toolholders. This insert is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom operators in production and job-shop environments where consistent, repeatable thread quality is required.

This insert is suited for external threading on a wide range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. Installation Notes
