The CARMEX 16ER18NPTMXC/G is a laydown-style threading insert designed for cutting external NPT threads at 18 threads per inch. Manufactured from solid carbide micrograin substrate with a PVD-applied TiN coating, it delivers consistent thread form and extended tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The insert carries a 30-degree included angle and is produced in a right-hand configuration. Measuring 0.375 inches inscribed circle and 0.146 inches thick, the 16ER geometry seats in standard 16ER toolholders. This insert is used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
