The CARMEX 16ER12ACMEMXC is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external Acme thread cutting at 12 threads per inch (TPI). It features a 29-degree included angle and a TiN coating applied via PVD process, which improves surface hardness and wear resistance during threading operations. The insert measures 0.375 inches inscribed circle and 0.146 inches thick. Right-hand geometry makes it suitable for standard external threading passes. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert into compatible toolholders for single-point threading on lathes and turning centers handling Acme-profile threads.
