The CARMEX 16ER10ACMEMXC is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external ACME thread cutting at 10 threads per inch (TPI). It features a 29-degree included angle consistent with ACME thread form geometry and a PVD-applied TiN coating for extended tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The insert carries a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and measures 0.146 inches thick. It is suited for use on CNC lathes and manual threading setups where precision thread form accuracy is required. Machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments are the primary users of this insert type.

This insert is intended for right-hand external ACME thread applications. Its universal material grade designation covers a broad spectrum of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, stainless steel, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys.
