The CARMEX 16ER/IL0.055BXC is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision external and internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the Series 16 lineup, this insert carries a TiN coating applied via PVD process and is offered in manufacturer grade BXC, material grade C6. It delivers a 0.055 inch cutting width with a maximum depth of cut of 0.071 inches. The positive rake angle of 15 degrees reduces cutting forces, making it well suited for finishing passes on cast iron and steel workpieces.
