The CARMEX 08IRA55BXC is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for internal threading operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a PVD-applied TiN coating and is ground to a 55-degree partial profile for cutting unified, BSW, and other 55-degree thread forms across a range range of 48 to 16 threads per inch (TPI). The inscribed circle (IC) measures 3/16 inch (0.1875 inches), and insert thickness is 0.087 inches. Right-hand cutting geometry and the BXC manufacturer grade make this insert well suited for general-purpose internal threading across a broad range of workpiece materials.
