The CAMPBELL map6 is a 1-1/2 inch PVC adapter configured with a Male NPT end on one side and a barbed insert end on the other. This non-metallic fitting creates a transition point between threaded system components and polyethylene (PE) flexible pipe. It is rated for cold water, irrigation, and general utility plumbing applications where a reliable, leak-resistant joint is needed without metal corrosion concerns. Plumbers and irrigation technicians install this fitting where threaded pipe systems meet flexible PE supply lines.
This adapter is commonly specified in residential and light commercial irrigation systems, rural water supply lines, and utility distribution networks. It serves as the connection point where a threaded port on a valve, pump, or manifold transitions to a barbed insert joint on a flexible PE pipe run. The insert end accepts the PE pipe bore directly, secured with a clamp or crimp ring depending on the installation method.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard fitting for 1-1/2 inch polyethylene flexible pipe systems connecting to 1-1/2 inch Male NPT threaded ports in cold water, irrigation, and utility plumbing applications.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and irrigation technicians. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before beginning any fitting work. The insert end requires the PE pipe to be fully seated over the barb, then secured with an appropriately sized clamp or crimp ring per local IPC or irrigation system guidelines. Do not overtighten the male NPT threads into the receiving female port, as PVC threads are susceptible to cracking under excessive torque.
