The CAMPBELL cp2 is a 1/2 inch PVC insert coupling designed to join two sections of 1/2 inch polyethylene tubing in cold water distribution and irrigation systems. Both ends use a barbed insert-style connection intended to be secured with stainless steel hose clamps, creating a leak-resistant joint without solvent welding or threaded fittings. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant PVC, this coupling is suited for non-pressurized or low-pressure service lines. Plumbers, irrigation technicians, and water service professionals install this fitting where a simple, clamp-secured polyethylene tube connection is required.
This coupling is used in residential and light commercial cold water distribution, drip irrigation laterals, and potable water service tubing runs. It is well suited for underground or above-grade polyethylene line repairs and extensions where insert-style fittings are the specified connection method. The barbed profile on each end provides mechanical retention under normal operating pressure when properly clamped.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert coupling for 1/2 inch polyethylene tubing used in cold water distribution and low-pressure irrigation systems.
This fitting is installed by plumbers and irrigation technicians. Before servicing any water line, shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure completely. Insert each barbed end fully into the polyethylene tubing and secure with appropriately sized stainless steel hose clamps tightened to the clamp manufacturer's specification. Inspect the joint for leaks before restoring service pressure.
