The Camden Door Controls CM-701U is a universal pull station with one normally closed (N/C) contact, designed for use in door access control and emergency egress systems. The CM-701U serves as a manual override or door release trigger, allowing occupants or first responders to activate a connected door system by pulling the station handle. It is typically wired into an access control panel, magnetic lock circuit, or fire alarm interface. Licensed electricians and access control technicians handle installation as part of commercial or institutional door hardware systems.
The CM-701U is suited for commercial and institutional buildings where a manual pull activation point is required at egress doors, stairwells, or corridors. Common applications include electric latch retraction systems, electromagnetic locks, and fire alarm door-release circuits. The single N/C contact configuration makes it compatible with a wide range of low-voltage control panel inputs that monitor a normally closed loop for activation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pull station for commercial low-voltage door access control and egress systems requiring a single N/C contact input.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or certified access control technician in accordance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Power down the access control panel and any connected lock hardware before wiring the pull station. Follow the manufacturer data sheet for contact ratings and mounting instructions. Do not exceed the rated contact load for the N/C circuit.
