The Camden Door Controls CM-7000G/3 is a momentary-contact push button with a spring-return action and a normally open (N/O) configuration, finished with a green button face. It is designed for use in access control and door release systems, where a brief operator press triggers a downstream device such as an electric strike, magnetic lock, or door release controller. The spring-return mechanism resets the contact automatically when pressure is released. Licensed electricians and low-voltage access control technicians are the primary installers of this type of device.
This push button is suited for interior exit and entry applications in commercial and light industrial buildings. It is typically surface-mounted at a door station to allow controlled egress or request-to-exit (REX) signaling. The green button color is a widely recognized convention for exit and access points, making it appropriate for lobbies, corridors, and secured entry vestibules. It is sold as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation push button for commercial access control and exit device systems requiring a momentary N/O spring-return switch.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician or low-voltage access control technician. Disconnect or de-energize the access control panel and any connected door hardware before wiring. Follow local electrical codes and the door hardware manufacturer wiring diagrams when making connections. Verify contact configuration (N/O) is compatible with the downstream controller before completing the installation.
