The CAMBRIDGE-LEE INDUSTRIES DL04100850BX is a pre-insulated mini-split line set designed for ductless HVAC system installation. It consists of a 1/4-inch copper liquid line and a 5/8-inch copper suction line, bundled together and wrapped in 1/2-inch black polyethylene hard shell insulation. Both lines terminate with plain ends, making this an EZ Pull configuration intended for field-cut and field-flare installation. The copper tubing meets ASTM E9600 material specification, and the assembly is listed to ASTM E84/C1427 and UL standards. Licensed HVAC technicians handling residential and light commercial ductless installs will find the rigid polyethylene shell protective during pulls through walls, ceilings, and conduit.
This line set is suited for residential and light commercial ductless mini-split installations where a 50-foot run is required between the indoor air handler and the outdoor condensing unit. The plain-end connections allow the installer to cut to length on site and form flares with standard HVAC flare tooling. The black polyethylene hard shell exterior protects the insulation and copper tubing during line pulls and provides additional UV and mechanical resistance once installed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation line set for residential and light commercial ductless mini-split systems requiring 1/4-inch liquid and 5/8-inch suction line connections with plain-end terminations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in compliance with applicable local mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Shut down and recover any refrigerant from the system before disconnecting existing line sets. Use calibrated flare tooling rated for the tubing diameter to form leak-free flare connections at both the indoor and outdoor units. Avoid sharp bends in the copper tubing during the pull; use a bending spring or tubing bender to maintain minimum bend radius and prevent kinking.
