The CAMBRIDGE-LEE INDUSTRIES 061408500B is a pre-insulated copper refrigerant line set designed for split-system air conditioning, heat pump, and ductless mini-split applications. The set includes a 3/8-inch liquid line and a 7/8-inch suction line, each terminated with plain ends for field flaring or brazing. Total line length is 50 feet. The suction line is covered with 1/2-inch black polyethylene hard-shell insulation rated for UV exposure and approved for use with R-410A refrigerant. Insulation is marked every foot for accurate measurement during rough-in. Licensed HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this type of line set.
This line set is suited for residential and light commercial installations including ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, and conventional split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. The 50-foot run length accommodates installations where the outdoor condenser or mini-split head unit is set at a significant distance from the air handler or indoor unit. The rugged, anti-tear exterior reduces insulation damage during pull-through and routing across tight chases or wall penetrations.
Designed for use with ductless mini-split systems, VRF commercial systems, and split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. Meets ASTM E84/C1427 and UL standards, and copper tubing conforms to ASTM B743/B88 material specification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer guidelines. Recover or isolate all refrigerant before cutting or disconnecting existing lines, and ensure the system is fully de-energized prior to work. Plain ends require field flaring or brazing to connect to system components; follow accepted refrigeration trade practices for joint preparation and leak testing. Support the line set at regular intervals to prevent sagging and protect insulation integrity over the run.
