The C2G CG27187 is a 100-foot Cat6 snagless patch cable finished in red. It is designed for structured cabling installations where network connectivity between switches, patch panels, routers, and end devices is required. The snagless boot protects the RJ45 locking tab during installation and removal, reducing cable damage in high-density environments. Cat6 construction supports Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet applications over the specified distance range. Network technicians, low-voltage installers, and IT professionals use this cable in both new installations and retrofit work.
This patch cable is suited for commercial and residential network infrastructure. It is commonly used in data centers, server rooms, office cable runs, and AV or security system interconnects. The red jacket color supports color-coded patching schemes, making it easier to trace and manage specific network segments or VLAN groupings at the patch panel. At 100 feet, it covers longer horizontal runs within a rack room or between adjacent network closets.
Designed as a standard RJ45 Cat6 patch cable compatible with Cat6 and Cat5e keystone jacks, patch panels, switches, routers, and network interface cards using 8P8C RJ45 ports.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or network professionals. Route cable away from high-voltage runs to reduce interference, in accordance with NEC guidelines for low-voltage wiring. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius during routing, and avoid sharp kinks that can degrade cable performance. Power down or disconnect the port before seating or removing the connector in sensitive network environments.
