The BULLARD 88VX3235 is a supplied air respirator (SAR) blasting kit designed for abrasive blasting operations where respiratory and head protection are required simultaneously. The kit pairs a curved oval-window helmet with a nylon cape and an 88VXBT breathing tube assembly to deliver clean compressed air to the operator. An F35 constant-flow air control valve with a 0.5-inch industrial interchange fitting regulates airflow. Five Mylar lens covers are included to protect the helmet window from abrasive damage. This kit is installed and serviced by industrial safety personnel, safety officers, or licensed respiratory protection program administrators.
The 88VX3235 is suited for sandblasting, media blasting, and other abrasive surface-preparation environments in industrial and commercial settings. The compressed-air pump compatibility means it connects to a plant or compressor air supply through the included air control valve. The nylon cape provides coverage of the shoulders and upper body, keeping abrasive media off the operator. The 88VXBT breathing tube assembly routes supplied air from the valve into the helmet interior. Typical applications include shipyards, bridge and tank coating operations, industrial maintenance facilities, and heavy equipment refurbishment shops.
Designed as an OEM-matched supplied air blasting kit for use with compressed-air supply systems; no external pump or hose is included with this kit. Supply hose must be sourced separately.
SAR blasting kits must be installed and used under a written respiratory protection program compliant with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134. Disconnect and lockout the compressed-air supply before attaching or detaching the air control valve. Verify inlet air quality meets Grade D breathing air requirements before use. Lens covers should be inspected before each use and replaced when visibility is compromised by pitting or abrasion.
