The BULLARD 36728 is a zirconium flap disc built for metal grinding and finishing in demanding trade applications. Configured as a Type 29 standard profile, the disc measures 7 inches in diameter with a 7/8 inch arbor hole and is rated to a maximum of 8500 RPM. The 80-grit zirconium abrasive delivers aggressive stock removal while still producing a finish suitable for blending and smoothing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Metal fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and ironworkers commonly use this disc for weld dressing, surface prep, and deburring tasks where a consistent cut rate and controlled finish are both required.
This flap disc is suited for use on angle grinders in both residential construction and heavy commercial or industrial fabrication environments. The Type 29 angled profile concentrates grinding pressure along the leading edge of the disc, making it well adapted for flat surface work, edge blending, and contour grinding. Each box contains 10 discs, providing consistent supply for ongoing production or service work. The 80-grit rating positions this disc at the intersection of material removal and surface finishing, reducing the need for an additional finishing pass in many applications.
Designed as a standard replacement flap disc for 7-inch angle grinders equipped with a 7/8 inch arbor spindle, suitable for metal grinding and finishing operations.
Installation and disc changes must be performed by a qualified operator with the angle grinder fully powered down and unplugged or locked out per applicable safety procedures. Verify the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds 8500 RPM before mounting this disc. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and never operate above the rated maximum RPM. Always use the appropriate guard and personal protective equipment when operating angle grinders per OSHA and tool manufacturer guidelines.
