The BSC PREFERRED WS481286A is a wire shelving add-on kit designed to expand an existing starter shelving unit by sharing a common set of posts. The kit includes four shelves, two posts, and eight S-hook connectors, giving warehouse and storage facility personnel everything needed to extend shelving capacity in a straight-line, back-to-back, or right-angle (L-shape) configuration. This unit connects directly to the WS481286 starter unit and is installed by warehouse staff or facilities maintenance technicians. The package weighs 55 pounds and ships in a box measuring 53 inches by 87 inches by 20 inches.
The WS481286A is suited for warehouse, distribution, storage room, and light industrial shelving applications. It is configured as an add-on unit only and requires the WS481286 starter unit to function. Three layout configurations are supported: straight line for extended run shelving, back-to-back for double-sided access, and right-angle (L-shape) for corner installations. Additional shelves and accessories are sold separately. Note that once a starter unit is paired with this add-on unit, the combined assembly cannot be made mobile with casters.
Designed for use with BSC PREFERRED starter unit WS481286. This add-on kit requires the starter unit for installation and cannot function as a standalone shelving unit. Replaces part number H-2937-86A.
Installation is performed by warehouse or facilities maintenance personnel and requires no special tools for shelf hook assembly. Before reconfiguring or expanding an existing shelving unit, remove all stored items from the affected shelves to prevent tipping hazards. Do not attempt to add casters to the combined starter-and-add-on assembly, as caster mobility is not supported once the add-on unit is attached. Follow local building and storage codes for maximum load ratings and rack anchoring requirements in occupied facilities.
We pulled together the parts most installs need for this unit, plus a few add-ons worth a look. Check what you need — nothing here blocks checkout.
