The BSC PREFERRED VHB495112R is a double-sided acrylic foam tape engineered for structural bonding, cushioning, damping, and impact resistance across demanding industrial and construction applications. The tape features a white acrylic foam core bonded with a low-temperature acrylic adhesive and a clear polyester film liner for handling convenience. It can be applied in temperatures as low as 32 degrees F and maintains performance across a service temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The adhesive system resists moisture, UV exposure, and solvents, making it suitable for long-term outdoor and semi-exposed installations. Licensed trade professionals and experienced installers apply this tape where mechanical fasteners are impractical or undesirable.
This tape is designed for structural and semi-structural bonding in building construction and truck trailer frame assembly. Its foam core provides vibration damping and impact absorption between bonded substrates, which is especially useful in applications subject to mechanical stress or thermal cycling. The low-temperature acrylic adhesive allows application in cool or cold job-site conditions without sacrificing bond integrity. Typical use cases include panel-to-frame attachment, trim bonding, and similar applications where a clean, fastener-free joint is required.
Designed for bonding building frames and truck trailer frames; suitable for structural and semi-structural tape bonding applications where a low-temperature acrylic adhesive system is required.
Surface preparation is critical to bond strength - clean and dry substrates thoroughly before application, removing oils, dust, and loose material. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape length after placement to ensure full adhesive contact. Allow adequate dwell time before applying service loads, particularly in cold conditions. Follow applicable building or fleet maintenance codes and manufacturer surface preparation guidelines for the substrates being bonded.
