The BSC PREFERRED THT202 is a wax thermal transfer ribbon engineered for high-volume barcode and label printing in industrial and commercial environments. Measuring 4.17 inches wide by 1,476 feet long, this black ribbon is formulated with a printhead-saver coating and anti-static back coating that reduce wear on thermal printheads over time. The wax formulation is highly sensitive, allowing print runs at lower temperatures and faster speeds up to 12 inches per second (IPS), which reduces energy consumption and printhead replacement costs. Output is dark and high-definition, supporting rotated and non-rotated barcodes, text, logos, and symbols with consistent smudge resistance across the ribbon length.
The THT202 is suited for thermal transfer label applications in packaging, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations. It is compatible with Zebra, Sato, and Datamax brand thermal transfer printers, making it a practical option in mixed-fleet print environments. The ribbon performs reliably across standard label stocks used in logistics and product identification workflows. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 6 units per order.
Compatible with Zebra, Sato, and Datamax brand thermal transfer printers using 4.17-inch wide ribbon configurations.
Ribbon loading should be performed by qualified print technicians or operators familiar with the specific printer model being serviced. Power down the printer before accessing the ribbon carriage to avoid printhead damage. Verify ribbon width and core size match printer specifications before loading. Follow the printer manufacturer's media guides for proper ribbon tension settings.
