The BSC PREFERRED T967292 is a polyimide film tape with a silicone adhesive, designed for applications that demand high thermal stability, electrical insulation, and mechanical durability. Rated to a maximum temperature of 500 degrees F, this tape combines dielectric strength, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance into a single product. The silicone adhesive system removes cleanly without leaving residue, making it suitable for use in precision manufacturing environments where contamination is a concern. Each case contains 36 rolls. Licensed tradespeople and industrial technicians working in electronics assembly, semiconductor fabrication, and high-temperature processing rely on this tape for consistent performance under thermal and mechanical stress.
The T967292 is suited for a wide range of industrial and trade applications where standard tapes fail under heat or vibration. Typical uses include insulating printed circuit boards, wave soldering masking during circuit board assembly, high-temperature powder coating masking, automotive sensor and manifold insulation, fiber optics cable protection, and semiconductor manufacturing processes. It performs in environments where the tape must maintain its bond and dielectric properties through repeated thermal cycling and exposure to chemicals or mechanical abrasion.
Designed as a direct equivalent to part number S-17215. Suitable for automotive, electronics, semiconductor, and industrial high-temperature masking and insulation applications.
Application and removal should be performed by qualified technicians familiar with the requirements of the specific process environment. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before applying the tape to ensure proper adhesion. When used in electrical or circuit board applications, follow applicable safety and handling procedures for the work environment. Avoid stretching the tape during application to maintain consistent dielectric and thermal performance.
