The BSC PREFERRED T967291 is a polyimide film tape with a silicone adhesive backing, engineered for use in high-temperature and electrically demanding applications. The polyimide base film delivers a combination of electrical insulation, thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical durability. The silicone adhesive bonds securely under extreme conditions and removes cleanly without leaving residue. Rated to a maximum temperature of 500 degrees F, this tape is suited for environments where standard adhesive tapes fail. It offers excellent abrasion resistance and high dielectric strength. Sold as a case of 36 units. Licensed electricians, electronics technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals are the primary installers and users of this product.
This tape is used across a wide range of industrial and manufacturing applications. Common uses include insulating printed circuit boards, wave soldering masking during circuit board assembly, high-temperature powder coating processes, automotive sensor and manifold insulation, semiconductor manufacturing, fiber optics cable management, and chemical etching operations. Its thermal and electrical properties make it appropriate for both production-line and field-service environments where sustained high heat and vibration are present.
Equivalent to part number S-11731. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for polyimide film tapes used in industrial, electronics, and automotive high-temperature applications.
Application and removal should be performed by qualified technicians familiar with electrical insulation materials and applicable safety standards. Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry before applying the tape to achieve proper adhesion. When used in electrical applications, follow NEC guidelines for insulation and dielectric requirements. Do not exceed the rated maximum temperature of 500 degrees F during use.
