The BSC PREFERRED T964425 is a premium-grade aluminum-backed foil tape designed for sealing and insulating applications in HVAC, plumbing, and building envelope work. The tape uses an acrylic adhesive system bonded to an aluminum foil backing, creating a thermally conductive barrier that supports both heating and cooling system efficiency. It provides waterproofing protection and seals air leaks at duct joints, pipe insulation seams, and penetrations. The foil face is flame resistant and reflects heat and light, improving visibility in low-light mechanical spaces. The tape resists ultraviolet degradation for long-term outdoor or attic-space performance. Sold as a case of 48 rolls.
This tape is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC duct sealing, pipe insulation jacketing, vapor barrier repairs, and general sheet metal work. HVAC technicians and insulation contractors use it to seal flexible duct connections, wrap rigid duct joints, and close insulation seams on mechanical piping. The reflective aluminum face also aids technicians working in confined or poorly lit mechanical areas. The case quantity of 48 makes it practical for fleet stocking or ongoing service calls where tape consumption is high. This product is equivalent to part number S-10309.
Designed for use on sheet metal ductwork, rigid and flexible duct insulation, pipe insulation jacketing, and vapor barriers in residential and light commercial HVAC and mechanical systems. Equivalent to part number S-10309.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or insulation contractors. Power down the air handling system before accessing duct interiors or sealed plenum sections. Surface should be clean, dry, and free of dust or oil before applying tape for full adhesive contact. Follow local mechanical codes and manufacturer insulation specifications when sealing duct systems.
