The BSC PREFERRED T96403510PKG is a color-coded PVC electrical tape designed for phase identification, circuit labeling, lead marking, and piping system identification in residential and commercial installations. The tape uses a pressure-sensitive rubber-resin adhesive that bonds firmly to wires, conduit, and pipe surfaces. It is rated for insulation and splicing of conductors up to 600 volts and handles a continuous service temperature range of 32 to 221 degrees F. The PVC backing is flame retardant and engineered to resist UV exposure, abrasion, moisture, alkalis, solvents, and a broad range of acids. Sold as a case of 10 rolls.
This tape is used by electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers for phase-color coding, wire identification, and service marking on piping systems. It is suited for both new construction and maintenance work where quick visual identification of circuits or fluid lines is required. The flame-retardant and chemical-resistant construction makes it appropriate for use in mechanical rooms, electrical panels, conduit runs, and wet or outdoor locations where ordinary tape would fail.
Designed as a general-purpose color-coded electrical and piping identification tape suitable for use in residential and commercial electrical, HVAC, and plumbing applications where 600-volt-rated tape is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize circuits and verify absence of voltage before applying tape to any conductor or splice. Apply tape with firm, overlapping wraps to ensure full adhesion and continuous insulation coverage. Avoid stretching the tape excessively during application, as this can reduce long-term adhesion on curved or irregular surfaces.
