The BSC PREFERRED T963926 is a high-performance acrylic pressure-sensitive tape engineered for demanding industrial and trade applications where standard tapes fail. Built on a densified kraft paper liner, it uses a firm acrylic adhesive that delivers very high adhesion to a wide range of surfaces, outstanding shear holding power, and reliable performance at sustained temperatures up to 300 degrees F. The tape is also UV resistant, making it suitable for both interior and exterior use. It is reverse-wound on a 1-inch core for clean dispensing. HVAC technicians, sheet metal workers, insulation contractors, and general maintenance professionals are the primary installers.
This tape is suited for light commercial and residential construction and mechanical service environments. Primary applications include mounting nameplates to equipment panels, splicing metal coils, and bonding foam insulation. The aggressive acrylic adhesive performs well on rough and textured surfaces where standard pressure-sensitive tapes lose grip. The high-temperature rating makes it appropriate for use near ductwork, mechanical rooms, and other areas subject to elevated ambient heat. Each case contains 72 rolls, making it practical for stocking a service van or supply room.
Designed as a direct equivalent to part number S-10046. Suitable for nameplate mounting, metal coil splicing, foam insulation bonding, and general industrial fastening tasks across HVAC, sheet metal, and building materials applications.
Surface preparation is critical for maximum adhesion - clean the substrate of dust, oil, and moisture before application. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape length to fully activate the adhesive bond. No special tools are required, though a hand roller or squeegee improves contact on rough surfaces. When used in mechanical or HVAC environments, ensure the application area has cooled to a safe working temperature before handling adjacent components.
