The BSC PREFERRED SS114031HT is a heavy-duty steel strapping product designed to secure and protect large, heavy shipments during transport and storage. Each coil is ribbon wound and weighs approximately 100 pounds, providing a substantial run of strapping material per unit. Steel strapping is the preferred choice when loads require high tensile strength and resistance to cutting, impact, or shifting. This product is sold per coil and is typically handled by shipping and receiving personnel, warehouse teams, or packaging equipment operators working with industrial bundling and unitizing applications.
This steel strapping is suited for securing heavy palletized loads, lumber, pipe, metal coils, bricks, and other dense industrial materials. It is used in manufacturing, distribution, construction supply, and freight industries where polypropylene or polyester strapping would lack the strength or rigidity required. The ribbon wound configuration feeds cleanly into compatible strapping tools and machines, reducing tangling and downtime during high-volume packaging runs. Skid quantities are available at 24 coils per skid for operations with ongoing strapping needs.
This strapping is equivalent to part number S-830. It is designed for use with standard steel strapping tensioners, sealers, and combination tools rated for steel strapping applications.
Steel strapping should be applied using appropriate tensioning and sealing tools rated for steel strapping to ensure proper strap tension and seal integrity. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling steel strapping, as cut ends and edges are sharp. Follow applicable packaging and load securement guidelines for your industry when unitizing freight or palletized loads. Coils are heavy at approximately 100 pounds each - use proper lifting equipment or two-person handling when moving or mounting coils.
