The BSC PREFERRED SPP352 strap guard is a plastic edge protector designed to shield packaged shipments from damage caused by steel or poly strapping during transit and storage. The ribbed channel design grips the strap and prevents lateral movement, keeping tension distributed evenly across the package edge. Made from strong, durable plastic, these guards hold up through handling and can be reused across multiple shipments. Each case contains 500 guards, making them a practical stock item for high-volume shipping and warehousing operations. Packaging and distribution professionals typically apply these during the strapping process as a standard protective measure.
These strap guards are suited for use in distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and warehouses where steel or poly strapping is applied to palletized loads, boxes, or bundled goods. They are placed at package edges or corners before the strap is tensioned to prevent the strapping from cutting into or crushing the packaging material. The reusable construction allows recovery and reuse when packaging is carefully opened, reducing ongoing supply cost in repeat-use workflows.
Designed for use with standard steel and poly strapping in pallet and package securing applications across industrial, distribution, and warehousing environments.
Strap guards are applied by hand at package edges or corners before strapping is tensioned. No tools are required for placement. Ensure the ribbed channel is seated firmly against the package surface before applying strap tension. When reusing guards, inspect each piece for cracks or deformation before placing back into service.
