The BSC PREFERRED SPBF18 is a foot-operated impulse sealer built for high-volume sealing applications. It runs on standard 110-volt power and uses a variable timer control to adjust seal dwell time, giving operators flexibility across different bag materials and thicknesses. The unit is compatible with polyethylene, polypropylene, and metallic bags. At 45.92 pounds and packaged at 29.5 inches by 17.5 inches by 17.25 inches, this is a bench-mount or floor-mount unit sized for production-level throughput. It is typically installed and operated by packaging technicians, warehouse staff, or fulfillment professionals who require consistent, hands-free sealing output.
The SPBF18 is suited for commercial and industrial packaging environments where continuous or high-frequency sealing cycles are required. Hands-free foot-pedal actuation keeps both hands free to position bags, making it practical for bagging parts, supplies, or packaged goods. It accepts polyethylene and polypropylene poly bags as well as metallic foil bags, covering a wide range of common packaging formats. A service kit, part number SPBF18KIT, is available separately and contains two replacement heating elements and two PTFE glass cloth tape strips for ongoing maintenance.
Designed for use with polyethylene, polypropylene, and metallic bags in high-volume packaging applications. Service kit SPBF18KIT is the designated replacement parts kit for this unit.
Place the unit on a stable, level work surface or floor stand appropriate for the unit weight before connecting to a standard 110-volt grounded outlet. Disconnect power before performing any service, including heating element or PTFE tape replacement. Follow the manufacturer service instructions when installing components from the SPBF18KIT to avoid damage to the sealing wire or jaw assembly. Operators should allow the unit to complete its cooling cycle between service intervals.
