The BSC PREFERRED SP55 is a corrugated layer pad designed to protect goods during packing, storage, and shipment. Made from 200/ECT-32 kraft corrugated material, each pad is sized to fit commonly used box dimensions. Layer pads are placed between stacked products to distribute weight evenly and prevent crushing or surface damage. They also serve as top-layer protection when a box is being opened with a utility knife, reducing the risk of cutting into the product below. Packaging specialists, warehouse staff, and shipping departments are the primary users of this item. Each pack contains 100 pads.
The SP55 layer pad is used in residential and commercial fulfillment and warehouse operations wherever fragile, stackable, or surface-sensitive products are packed into corrugated shipping cartons. The pads fit the most commonly used standard box sizes, making them a versatile solution across multiple SKUs and product lines. They also function as rigid stiffeners inside envelopes or flat mailers when extra rigidity is needed. Sold in a quantity of 100 pads per pack, the SP55 is suited for moderate- to high-volume packing operations.
Designed for use with standard corrugated shipping cartons as an interleaving or top-layer protective pad in general packaging and fulfillment applications.
No tools or trade licensing are required to use these pads. Place pads flat between product layers or on top of the final layer before closing the carton. Ensure pads lie flat without folding to maintain full surface coverage and consistent weight distribution. Store unused pads in a dry environment to prevent moisture absorption that could reduce rigidity.
