The BSC PREFERRED SH1475 is a center-folded, multi-layer, biaxially oriented polyolefin shrink film designed for reliable performance across manual, semi-automatic, and automatic packaging equipment. The film requires no dwell time during the heat-sealing process, which keeps cycle times short and throughput high. Its high-gloss finish and excellent optical clarity produce a clean, professional wrap. Puncture resistance makes it suitable for irregularly shaped items that would stress lesser films. Approved for food contact per FDA requirements and cleared for mailings by the U.S. Postal Service, this roll covers a wide range of professional packaging applications.
SH1475 is used in light industrial, fulfillment, retail, and food-service packaging operations. It performs on heat-tunnel lines as well as with handheld heat guns, giving operators flexibility across different workstation setups. Cold-storage compatibility makes it a practical choice for refrigerated or frozen product packaging where film brittleness is a concern. The postal approval extends its usefulness to direct-mail and catalog fulfillment workflows without requiring a secondary overwrap.
Compatible with manual, semi-automatic, and automatic shrink-wrap equipment, as well as handheld heat guns. Equivalent to part number S-14997.
Loading and threading should be performed with the machine powered down and the heat elements cooled to avoid burns. Operators should follow the equipment manufacturer's tension and seal-bar settings for polyolefin film. Ensure adequate ventilation at the workstation when using heat guns or heat tunnels. Gloves are recommended when handling the film roll to prevent edge cuts.
