The BSC PREFERRED SF187 is a blown stretch film designed for wrapping irregular and mixed loads on pallets or in storage. Manufactured to a 70-gauge thickness, this film handles loads up to 2,000 pounds and performs in temperatures as low as -5 degrees F. Its blown-process construction delivers puncture and tear resistance that exceeds comparable cast films, along with strong cling properties that keep layers bonded without adhesive. Licensed trade packagers, warehouse crews, and shipping departments use this film when load security and cold-environment performance are required. Each case contains 4 rolls.
This film suits residential moving, commercial warehousing, cold-storage staging, and distribution center palletizing. It is well suited to irregular load shapes where a consistent, tight wrap is difficult to achieve with cast film. The low-temperature rating to -5 degrees F makes it appropriate for refrigerated or outdoor staging areas. Compatible dispensers are available under stock numbers SFDIS259, SFDIS277, and SFDIS278.
The SF187 is an equivalent replacement for part number S-2105. For dispenser compatibility, reference stock numbers SFDIS259, SFDIS277, and SFDIS278.
Apply using a handheld or stand-mounted stretch film dispenser to maintain consistent tension across the load. Begin wrapping at the base of the pallet and overlap each pass by at least 50 percent for full load stabilization. Do not overstretch the film beyond its rated elongation, as this reduces gauge thickness and load-holding strength. Store unused rolls horizontally in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
