The BSC PREFERRED PS4830 is a high-tensile polyester strapping product designed as an economical alternative to steel strapping in packaging and shipping applications. Polyester strapping retains tension longer than polypropylene and other common strapping types, making it well suited for securing heavy or dense loads. The material is non-corrosive and UV resistant, extending service life in varied storage and transit conditions. Each case contains 2 rolls. Compatible with serrated or sandpaper seal closures, the PS4830 integrates into standard manual and semi-automatic strapping workflows used by warehousing, distribution, and industrial shipping operations.

The PS4830 polyester strapping is used in packaging and shipping environments where steel strapping has traditionally been specified. It is approximately 80 percent lighter than steel strapping, reducing handling fatigue and tool wear during repetitive strapping tasks. Typical applications include securing palletized freight, bundling lumber or pipe, and unitizing heavy cartons. The non-corrosive construction makes it appropriate for damp or outdoor staging areas where steel strapping would rust or stain product surfaces.

Installation Notes

Apply with standard polyester strapping tensioners and sealers rated for the strapping width and thickness of this product. Inspect seals after tensioning to confirm full crimp engagement before releasing tension. Do not apply with tools rated only for polypropylene strapping, as tool jaw geometry differs between material types. Store rolls in a cool, dry location away from prolonged direct sunlight when not in use.
