The BSC PREFERRED IB855-2LF is a self-piercing saddle valve designed to tap into existing copper or soft tubing without cutting or soldering. The brass valve body installs over tubing ranging from 3/8 inch to 1 inch outside diameter using plated steel clamps, and it delivers flow through a 1/4 inch OD compression outlet. The valve is manufactured to a maximum weighted average lead content of 0.25% on wetted surfaces, meeting lead-free compliance requirements for potable water applications. Plumbers and HVAC technicians use this fitting when adding a low-volume branch line to an existing water supply line.

This saddle valve is suited for residential applications where a quick branch connection is needed from an existing supply line.
