When the hook side contacts the loop side, hundreds of interlocking hooks and loops form a secure mechanical bond. Pulling the two sides apart straightens the hooks and releases the connection cleanly. The rubber-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive backing performs reliably across a wide range of temperatures, making this fastener suitable for demanding installation conditions. Note that hook and loop components are sold separately.
