The BSC PREFERRED FR1236 is a reusable polyurethane foam sheet designed to cushion delicate and irregularly shaped products during storage and shipping. The foam is very soft and pliable, conforming quickly to product contours without the need for custom packaging. Lightweight construction keeps overall package weight low, and the material carries high resistance to mildew, making it suitable for a range of storage environments. It functions as both a protective wrap around individual items and as a void fill inside boxes or crates. Packaged dimensions are 24 inches by 24 inches by 12 inches and the unit weighs 3.86 pounds.
This foam sheeting is used across warehousing, distribution, and light industrial packaging applications. It is well suited for fragile parts, glass, electronics, and other irregularly contoured items that are difficult to secure with rigid inserts. Shipping departments, maintenance supply rooms, and trade supply distributors commonly stock this material for on-demand protective packing. It can be torn or cut to size on the job without tools, making it practical for both high-volume pack lines and occasional field use.
Designed as a general-purpose protective packaging material for cushioning delicate and irregularly shaped products in shipping and storage applications. This product is equivalent to part number S-8349.
No tools are required to use this foam sheeting. Cut or tear to the desired size before wrapping products or filling void space inside shipping containers. Inspect foam for tears or compression set before reuse to confirm it still provides adequate cushioning. Dispose of damaged or heavily compressed foam rather than reusing it for fragile items.
