The BSC PREFERRED DK3M120 is a reclosable polypropylene fastener strip designed to fasten heavy items with a more permanent bond than standard hook-and-loop systems. It uses a Type 400 rigid plastic stem density configuration that interlocks with compatible mating types for hundreds of repeated closures. A rubber-based adhesive backing bonds the strip directly to many plastics, powder-coated paints, and other low surface energy materials without mechanical fasteners. This product is suited for trade and industrial applications where a reliable, repositionable mechanical fastener is needed in controlled indoor environments, and is typically installed by maintenance technicians or facilities professionals.

The DK3M120 is intended for indoor use in environments with temperatures up to 120 degrees F. Each roll provides 150 feet of usable fastener material, making it appropriate for high-volume installs, panel mounting, cable management, and component securing in equipment enclosures, panels, or storage systems. The strip does not interlock with itself - it requires a compatible mating strip for closure. Compatibility

Stems interlock with DK3M132 or DK3M135 mating strips. Type 400 stem density is compatible with Type 170 or Type 250 density strips. This product is equivalent to part number S-17512. Does not interlock with itself.

Installation Notes

Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the adhesive backing to ensure proper adhesion to plastics, painted surfaces, or low surface energy substrates. Allow adequate dwell time after application before loading the fastener with weight. For best results, do not use outdoors or in environments that exceed 120 degrees F. Always pair with a compatible mating strip - DK3M132 or DK3M135 - as the DK3M120 will not function as a closure when mated to itself.
