The BSC PREFERRED DIB5412 is a long-shank stainless steel floor drain strainer designed for residential and light commercial plumbing drain applications. The unit features an extra-deep cup body constructed from stainless steel with a locking shell, paired with long-shank deep-cut threads for secure installation. The fixed-post stainless steel basket includes a safety rolled edge to reduce injury risk during service. A die-cast locknut and long-shank slip nut complete the assembly. The package includes a neoprene stopper, rubber locknut washer, locknut friction washer, and flanged tailpiece washer, providing all necessary components for a complete installation.

The DIB5412 is suited for floor drain installations requiring a long-shank configuration, typically found in laundry rooms, utility rooms, basements, and light commercial floor drain setups. Plumbers install this strainer as either a new installation component or a direct replacement for worn or corroded drain strainer assemblies. The long-shank design accommodates installations where standard-shank strainers fall short in depth.
