The BSC PREFERRED CTUV36250 is a UV-stabilized, black nylon cable tie designed for permanent bundling and securing of cords, cables, bags, and similar materials in outdoor or high-UV environments. The black colorant throughout the nylon compound provides resistance to ultraviolet degradation, making these ties suitable for continuous or extended outdoor exposure without becoming brittle or losing holding strength prematurely. Each tie features a tamper-resistant locking mechanism designed to lock tight once cinched, preventing loosening under vibration or handling. Licensed electrical and low-voltage technicians, HVAC installers, and general contractors rely on this type of tie for securing wire bundles, conduit wraps, and equipment covers in exterior installations.
These cable ties are well suited for outdoor applications including rooftop HVAC installations, exterior electrical conduit bundling, fence and utility line management, landscaping irrigation line organization, and general packaging or shipping applications requiring UV-resistant fastening. The UV-stabilized nylon construction makes them appropriate for job sites, storage yards, and any environment where direct sunlight and weather exposure are ongoing concerns. Sold in a quantity of 100 per case, they are practical for service vehicles and supply rooms where high volume use is expected.
Designed as a general-purpose UV-stabilized cable tie for outdoor and extended-exposure applications across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general construction trades. Listed as equivalent to part number S-12408.
Cable ties of this type are installed by hand or with a cable tie tensioning tool; always cut flush with the locking head using diagonal cutters to avoid sharp edges that can cause injury. Power down or de-energize any wiring or equipment before bundling live circuits in compliance with applicable NEC requirements. Do not overtighten ties around flexible insulated conductors, as excessive compression can damage insulation. UV-stabilized ties are rated for outdoor use but should still be positioned away from direct flame or extreme heat sources beyond normal ambient conditions.
