The BSC PREFERRED CT718 is a general-purpose nylon cable tie designed to permanently secure cords, cables, bags, and similar items in place. Built from 6.6 nylon, these ties are tamper-proof and engineered to lock tight without stretching or sliding once cinched. The one-way locking mechanism holds tension without backing off, making them suitable for bundling tasks that demand a permanent, reliable hold. Electricians, HVAC techs, and general tradespeople reach for ties like these when a clean, lasting bundle is required and reusability is not a concern. Sold in a case of 1000 units.
CT718 cable ties are appropriate for a wide range of applications including wire harnessing, securing insulation, organizing cable runs, bundling conduit, and general packaging or bag sealing tasks. Their general-purpose sizing makes them a practical stock item for service vans, job sites, and shop inventories. The 6.6 nylon formulation offers good resistance to common shop and field conditions including mild chemical exposure and mechanical abrasion.
Designed as a general-purpose cable tie for use across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and packaging applications where a permanent nylon tie is required. This product is equivalent to part number S-11135.
Cable ties are installed by hand and require no special tools, though a cable tie tensioning and cutting tool is recommended for high-volume or uniform-tension applications. When used in electrical applications, follow NEC guidelines for securing and supporting conductors. Avoid over-cinching on delicate cable jacketing, and do not use in applications requiring a releasable or reusable fastener, as the CT718 locking mechanism is permanent.
