The BSC PREFERRED CT16120 is a general-purpose nylon cable tie designed to permanently secure cords, cables, bags, and similar bundled items. Constructed from 6.6 nylon, these ties are engineered to lock tight and resist stretching or sliding once fastened. The tamper-proof locking mechanism holds tension without backing off, making them reliable for applications where a secure, permanent bundle is required. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers commonly use cable ties during wire management, conduit work, and equipment installation. Each case contains 100 ties.
These cable ties are suited for general-purpose use across residential and commercial trade environments. Common applications include bundling electrical wire runs, securing refrigerant line insulation, organizing hose assemblies, and fastening bags or covers during packaging and shipping operations. Their rigid nylon construction holds up in both indoor and dry outdoor service environments. The CT16120 is equivalent to part number S-13448, making it a direct cross-reference replacement for that designation.
The CT16120 is equivalent to part number S-13448. These are general-purpose cable ties suited for use wherever a 6.6 nylon locking tie is specified in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or packaging applications.
Cable ties are installed by hand or with a standard cable tie tensioning tool. Pull the tail through the locking head and cinch to the desired tension before trimming the excess tail flush with flush-cut pliers or a tie gun. When used in electrical applications, follow applicable NEC guidelines for wire bundling and support. Avoid over-tensioning on insulated conductors, as excessive cinching can damage wire jacket material.
