The BSC PREFERRED B2072PCLF is a straight compression repair valve designed for inline shut-off service on water supply lines. It features a 3/8-inch OD compression captured nut inlet and a 3/8-inch OD outlet, paired with a quarter-turn ball valve mechanism for fast, positive flow control. The chrome-plated finish and corrosion-resistant ball construction make this valve suitable for exposed supply line applications. Wetted surfaces are manufactured to contain no more than 0.25% weighted average lead content, meeting lead-free compliance standards. Licensed plumbers install this fitting as a replacement or repair valve on residential and light commercial water supply runs.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a straight-line shut-off is needed on a 3/8-inch OD compression supply line. Typical applications include under-sink supply connections to faucets, toilets, and similar fixtures. The quarter-turn operation allows quick isolation of the supply line without tools during service or emergency shut-off situations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for straight compression shut-off valves on 3/8-inch OD water supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing the existing valve. Hand-tighten the compression nut, then snug with a wrench — avoid over-torquing, which can crack the compression ferrule or fitting body. Inspect for leaks at the compression connection after restoring pressure.
