The BSC PREFERRED 496-001DIB is a flexible braided faucet supply line designed to deliver a secure, leak-resistant water connection between the shutoff valve and the faucet body. The inner core is reinforced PVC tubing, wrapped in braided stainless steel strands that resist kinking, crimping, and abrasion in exposed locations. Measuring 3/8 inch by 1/2 inch by 12 inches, this line handles both hot and cold water service. Plumbers and plumbing contractors install this fitting during faucet rough-in and replacement work in residential and light commercial applications.
This supply line is suited for use with standard residential and commercial faucet installations where a short, rigid-to-flexible transition is required. The 12-inch length accommodates typical under-sink cabinet depths. The braided stainless steel outer layer provides durability in exposed under-sink environments where the line may be subject to incidental contact. It is rated for both hot and cold water supply lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation supply line for residential and commercial faucets requiring a 3/8 inch compression inlet and 1/2 inch outlet connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply at the stop valve and relieve line pressure before disconnecting any existing supply line. Hand-tighten fittings first, then snug with an adjustable wrench — avoid overtightening, which can crack fittings or distort the braided sleeve. Do not bend the line at a sharp angle near the fittings.
