The BSC PREFERRED 307297 is a 6-inch drywall saw designed for cutting wallboard, drywall panels, and synthetic building materials on the job site. The blade is constructed from hardened and tempered steel with a sharpened point and fully sharpened teeth, allowing the saw to pierce and cut without a pre-drilled starter hole. The large, heavy-duty rubber-grip handle provides control and reduces fatigue during extended use. This tool is suited for rough-in cuts, outlet boxes, fixture openings, and general drywall work.
This drywall saw is intended for use by drywall installers, general contractors, remodelers, and finish carpenters working on residential and light commercial projects. It handles standard gypsum wallboard as well as synthetic panel materials. The 6-inch blade length is well suited for the material thicknesses most commonly encountered in wall and ceiling applications.
Designed as a general-purpose hand saw for cutting standard gypsum drywall panels and synthetic building board materials in residential and light commercial construction applications.
Mark cut lines clearly before cutting to ensure accurate openings. Power should be confirmed off at the panel before cutting near electrical rough-in areas. Keep the blade path clear of embedded fasteners or metal framing edges that can damage the teeth. Blade handling requires care — the sharpened point presents a puncture hazard during transport and storage.
