Product Description

The BSC PREFERRED 160297 is a 12-ounce, single-component expanding foam sealant formulated for air sealing, gap filling, and insulating cracks and voids in residential and light commercial construction. Once dispensed, the foam expands to conform to irregular surfaces and cures to a durable, airtight, water-resistant bond that helps stop unwanted airflow and reduce condensation. It reaches a tack-free state in approximately 15 minutes and is ready for trimming in 30 to 60 minutes. The product carries UL classification. HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and general contractors use this sealant when sealing penetrations through walls, floors, and ceilings.

This foam sealant suits a wide range of sealing applications including pipe and conduit penetrations, window and door framing gaps, rim joist sealing, and duct system interface points where building envelope integrity is required. It is appropriate for both new construction rough-in work and retrofit service calls where drafts, moisture infiltration, or energy loss are concerns.
