The BSC PREFERRED 143 is a double roller catch designed to keep cabinet doors and light fixture doors closed through spring-loaded roller tension. The catch mounts to the cabinet frame and engages a strike plate on the door to hold it firmly in the closed position. It is used in residential and light commercial cabinetry applications and is typically installed by carpenters, millwork contractors, or skilled finish tradespeople. The zinc construction gives it a matte silver appearance and provides adequate corrosion resistance for interior use.
This double roller catch is suited for kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, utility closets, and other interior cabinet installations where a positive door closure is needed without a latch handle mechanism. The spring tension from both rollers distributes closing force evenly across the strike, reducing door rattle in high-traffic environments. It is sold as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation roller catch for standard residential and light commercial interior cabinet door applications.
Installation is typically performed by a finish carpenter or general contractor using a screwdriver or drill driver. Mount the catch body to the inside of the cabinet frame and align the strike plate on the interior face of the door for proper roller engagement. Ensure the door is properly hung and aligned before final fastener tightening to achieve consistent catch engagement. No electrical shutoff or plumbing isolation is required for this hardware installation.
