The BRYANT 288bnv025000 is a 2-ton, 18 SEER variable speed heat pump condensing unit designed for residential split-system installations. It operates on R-410A refrigerant and delivers up to 11 HSPF heating efficiency and up to 18 SEER cooling efficiency. The unit uses an ECM-driven rotary compressor with inverter-based capacity control, providing variable staging for precise load matching across a wide range of outdoor conditions. With a rated cooling capacity of 24,000 BTU/h and a heating capacity of 19,900 BTU/h, this condensing unit is sized for whole-home comfort in moderate to high-efficiency residential systems. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning.
This unit is intended for residential split-system applications where high-efficiency, variable-capacity performance is required. The variable speed inverter allows up to 5 stages of operation, supporting superior dehumidification control and compatibility with zoning configurations. It is designed to work with a wide variety of indoor air handlers and control systems within the Bryant Evolution product family. The unit is ENERGY STAR rated and carries UL Listed and UL Recognized approvals, making it suitable for installations in jurisdictions with energy code compliance requirements. A TXV metering device is included for precise refrigerant management.
Designed for use within the Bryant Evolution system family (product family 288BNV) and compatible with a wide variety of Bryant and compatible indoor air handler units and controls designed for R-410A variable-speed split-system configurations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit. Refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification; never vent R-410A to atmosphere. Verify that line set sizing, electrical supply, and overcurrent protection match the unit's specifications before startup, noting a maximum overcurrent protection (MOCP) of 40 amps and a rated load amps (RLA) of 17.7.
