The BRUSH RESEARCH MFG. ADD10018120 is a 4-inch tapered disc brush designed for precision surface finishing and deburring across a wide range of industrial materials. The brush uses a blended ceramic and silicon carbide abrasive filament at 120 grit, which places it in the medium grade range - effective for moderate material removal, edge blending, and surface conditioning. Filaments are round in cross-section at 0.0400 inches in diameter and trimmed to 0.71 inches in length. A 7/8-inch arbor hole with a CNC adapter connector makes this brush compatible with automated and computer-controlled tooling setups. Maximum operating speed is 2,200 RPM. This brush is installed and used by machinists, CNC operators, and manufacturing technicians in production environments.
This tapered disc brush is suited for use on advanced composite materials, ceramics, composite materials, metal matrix materials, metallics, plastics, super alloys, and wood. It is designed for integration into automated machinery, CNC machining centers, robotic cells, and transfer lines. Its tapered profile allows consistent abrasive contact in applications where part geometry requires a controlled brush engagement angle. Typical use cases include in-process deburring, edge radiusing, and surface prep on precision-machined components.
Designed for use with automated machinery, CNC machining centers, robotic cells, and transfer lines. The CNC adapter connector and 7/8-inch arbor hole are specified for integration into standard CNC tooling configurations. Suitable for processing advanced composite materials, ceramics, composite materials, metal matrix materials, metallics, plastics, super alloys, and wood.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician familiar with rotating abrasive tooling. Always de-energize and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm that the spindle RPM does not exceed the 2,200 RPM maximum rating before operation. Follow applicable ANSI safety standards for the use of abrasive products on power equipment.
