The BROWNING 1095561 is a non-cogged fractional horsepower (FHP) V-belt in the 5L section, designed for light-duty power transmission in HVAC blower assemblies, fans, and similar motor-driven equipment. It measures 21/32 inches in top width, 70 inches in outside length, and 3/8 inch in thickness. Constructed from neoprene with cotton reinforcement, it delivers reliable flexibility and resistance to heat, oil, and environmental exposure. The non-cogged design provides a smooth outer surface suited to standard sheave profiles. HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors install this belt as a direct replacement in systems requiring a 5L-section FHP belt.
The 5L section FHP belt is commonly used in residential and light commercial HVAC applications, including air handler blower assemblies, condenser fan drives, and small mechanical ventilation units. Its 70-inch outside length fits a range of standard drive configurations. The neoprene compound and cotton reinforcement make it well-suited to indoor and outdoor installations where moderate heat and occasional moisture exposure are expected. Technicians working on routine seasonal maintenance or belt-replacement service will find this a straightforward drop-in for compatible drives.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for fractional horsepower drive systems requiring a 5L section V-belt with a 70 inch outside length.
Belt replacement on blower and fan drives should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Always disconnect and lock out power to the unit before removing the old belt or accessing the drive assembly. Loosen the motor mounting bolts to relieve tension before removing the belt, and re-tension the drive according to the equipment manufacturer specifications after installing the new belt. Do not pry the belt over sheave flanges with tools, as this can damage the cord reinforcement.
